It must be Michigan! Schuler’s sharp cheddar bar cheese spread on a ritz cracker. Tastes like the 80s!

Mushroom Stroganoff part 2! After cutting a mountain of mushrooms and onions and getting that into a pan...it was time for sauce and noodles! Robert tried not to show his apprehension when I told him I wanted to cook this dish, but he’s a good sport and didn’t say anything. And In the end, he said it was “delicious” and went back for a 2nd helping. Said it reminded him of the casseroles of his youth. Next time I’ll try a mix of mushrooms rather than just cremini’s. I managed to not burn the kitchen down or ruin the meal with my slim kitchen talents (that’s Allison’s department - she’s the real cook of the group, but she HATES mushrooms, so this would’ve been her nightmare). Thanks again to Ali at #gimmesomeoven for the recipe. You can find it at her website: www.gimmesomeoven.com. Hi all. Sarah here. Most know I am NOT the cook here, but maybe a couple times a year, I get my hands dirty (and the floor, walls, ceiling) in the kitchen. Lately, I’ve been craving my Mom’s beef stroganoff. A classic mid-west style dish...creamy, heavy, saucy. Since my fella doesn’t do beef, I found a mushroom recipe from #gimmesomeoven that I decided to take for a whirl! This is a 2 part post...you can see how it turned out in part 2! (Tears are shed, onions are my nemesis as you all know!) . You can find the recipe at gimmesomeoven.com . . . . #cooking #cookingshow #webseries #womandirector #cookingcomedy #midwesternrecipes #midwesterncuisine #midwestcooking #detroitgirlscooking #midwestrecipes #downriverrecipes #1980scooking #1980srecipes #familyrecipes #familyrecipeswithallisonandsarah #midwestrecipes #midwestcuisine #detroitrecipes #mushroomstroganoff #beefstroganoff #gimmesomeoven
